II Food Radiation Meeting

NBEPar participates in a meeting on food irradiation.

The CEO of Núcleo Brasil Energia Participações, Ney Zanella dos Santos, participated, on March 2, in the II National Meeting on Technological Innovations in Food Irradiation: Innovative practices for a sustainable future.

Promoted by Ipen – Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research, Institute of Engineering and Association of Sales and Marketing Leaders of Brazil, the event aimed to present to the Brazilian food sector new perspectives that ensure the increase of competitiveness in food export, the increase of sustainability in the production chain and the mitigation of health risks, generating systemic benefits for the economy and the population. The found had the support of Amazul – Amazon Blue Defense Technologies S. A. A. (AMAZUL), the Office of Institutional Security of the Presidency of the Republic, the Brazilian Society of Radiological Protection, the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo and the Commercial Association of São Paulo.

NBEPar took to the event entrepreneurs of the agribusiness fruit sector to know and support the implementation in Brazil of food radiation as a phytosanitary practice for the improvement of food quality.
